Chassis Configuration

home.htm Page 2 of 2

Once the system is defined, the factory assigns positions of the boards within each chassis.Typically, the Power Supply Board is assigned the last two positions in the chassis and each board is wired per its standardized documentation. The booklet accompanying each board defines that board’s pin-outs while the chassis positions are labeled within the chassis itself. During the design process, the customer is advised to standardize on one chassis layout throughout the system. Our experience has shown that for ease of installation, servicing and future system re-configuration, one chassis layout is most economical over the life of the system. After acceptance of an order, applications engineers at Puleo Electronics will assign the last three digits to the model number of each chassis. This number is shown on the rear of the chassis and listed in our database. The number defines all aspects of the chassis and future expansion of the system requires only that chassis number to reorder.
